RMHS NORTH AMERICA, INC. (RMHS NA Inc.) is non-profit public benefit corporation comprised of former students and alumni of the Ramon Magsaysay High School (RMHS - España, Manila, Philippines) who are residence of the United States of America and Canada. It operates for public or charitable purposes and members may not sell their interests or receive dividends from the organization. RMHS NA, Inc is organized under the Non-profit Corporation Law of State of California, USA and was Incorporated on July 17, 2017.
Our objective in creating this organization is to foster and develop fellowship and goodwill among the alumni of Ramon Magsaysay High School (RMHS-España, Manila, Philippines) who are residence of United States and Canada. We also extend our associate memberships to all graduates and former students of RMHS, currently living in Philippines and other international countries, who are able to help and support RMHS North America’s visions and initiatives. Its main purpose is to organize collective efforts to promote and safeguard the interests and welfare of its member, to make a positive contribution to the RMHS students, teachers, and graduates and to support our Alma Mater in the fulfillment of its academic mission to uphold the culture of excellence in education.
The Organization is organized exclusively for charitable, cultural, literary and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, 1986, or the corresponding provision of any future federal law. Such purposes include but are not limited to:
a) Strengthen the network of Ramon Magsaysay High School (España, Manila, Philippines) alumni and former students currently working and living in North America, by hosting reunions and creating programs in support of their advancement and well-being;
b) Participate in fundraising activities and partnering with individuals or organizations desiring to make a difference by creating and implementing programs positively impacting the students and teachers of the RMHS in the Philippines on the basis of low-income family status and financial needs; and;
c) Develop and administer advocacy, engagement initiatives, scholarship grants, leadership and career workshops, medical missions, fundraising and other programs that promotes the interests, welfare and educational aims of the alumni and the RMHS community.
